In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia and the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, a literacy club for students of Abkhazian schools was established to develop literacy competence.
For enhancing the book lovers’ competence, the Literacy Club for the students of Abkhazia was set up in cooperation with Ministry of Education and Culture of A/R of Abkhazia and National Center for Teacher Professional Development.
On this basis a meeting was held at Palitra L Publishing House, where Eka Khoperia - the Minister of Education and Culture of A/R of Abkhazia, Ani Kudukhashvili- an expert-consultant at the elementary level of the Teachers' House and Maia Aludauri, Editor-in-Chief of Palitra L Publishing House, etc. Attended.
Mariam Agdgomelashvili and Mariam Giorgadze the representatives of “Palitra L” developed a 3-month program for club members and within the framework of which students will get acquainted with Georgian and foreign authors, thus a book review / discussion and meetings the authors about to hold once a month.
Palitra L Publishing House handed over 12 named books of more than 250 to the students of Public Schools of Abkhazia.
